Safety Bulletin - Mobile Phones
Luke Gould 3rd November 2016
Hughes and Salvidge always ensure the wellbeing and safety of our employees and the general public are at the forefront of our minds during the planning and execution of all of our projects.
This extends to our teams getting to and from site and travelling for work purposes as well as during their normal working hours.
With recent news tragically highlighting the serious consequences of getting distracted at the wheel, Hughes and Salvidge issued the following Safety Bulletin across our group of companies:
USE OF MOBILE PHONES IN VEHICLES
Lack of concentration cost lives and 10 YEARS IN PRISON
LIVES CAN CHANGE WITHIN SECONDS
When you enter your vehicle as the driver, place your mobile device in a place out of reach / inaccessible whilst driving to stop distraction by text or emails.
Only use hands-free system in the vehicle.
We all want to go home to see our families and friends and keep those around us safe.
