Hughes And Salvidge Shortlisted For Major Global Award

We received some brilliant news at the end of last week after being informed that Hughes and Salvidge has been nominated for a World Demolition Award.

The World Demolition Awards take place on Friday October 14th and reward the best demolition companies on the planet.

Hughes and Salvidge is in the hotly contested ‘Recycling & Environmental Demolition’ category together with 2 other firms originating from New Zealand (Protranz EarthMoving) and the USA (Cherry Companies).

The winner will have demonstrated a commitment to reducing the environmental impact of its operations. As well as clear evidence of effective recycling strategies, the judges will also be looking for evidence of “green” working practices, investment in ‘cleaner’ equipment and effective control of noise, pollution and disturbance.

We’re one of 30 companies in the running for honours across 11 different categories. An overall World Demolition Award winner will also be announced as adjudicated by an esteemed judging panel.

Organised by Demolition & Recycling International magazine in co-operation with the National Demolition Association, and supported by the European Demolition Association, the event is relocating from its previous home in Amsterdam, to across the pond.

This year it will be held at the highly glamorous Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay Hotel in Florida, USA following the conclusion of the World Demolition Summit earlier in the day, one of the demolition industry’s major annual international events.

We are extremely proud to be flying the flag for the UK and hope to add this accolade to our growing list of accomplishments.
