Hughes And Salvidge Gifts Complimentary Birthday Girl
Luke Gould 23rd January 2015
In December, we informed you that Hughes and Salvidge had concluded work at Botley Road in Oxford after being awarded the role of Principle Contractor for demolition works at the site to make the way clear for a new Waitrose store.
The main works consisted of a soft strip and the removal of all existing buildings on the site.
Off the back of this project and upon our return to work after the Christmas break, we received a lovely letter from a lady who lives opposite to the site which read as follows:
Dear Sir
I must put pen to paper to congratulate you and your workmen for doing a splendid job at 110 Botley Road, Oxford, the demolition of the former DIY furniture store. The workmen kept the site tidy at all times. I live right opposite, I am 91, will be 92 next week, so I have time to stand or sit and watch. The site was left perfect. Thank you.
Yours truly
Joyce Verney
It put a huge smile on the team’s face and to thank her we decided to send Mrs Verney a bunch of flowers to help her celebrate her 92nd birthday.
