Homes and Communities Agency
Hughes and Salvidge were appointed to the role of Principal Contractor in October 2015.
The works involved the demolition of the former respirator testing room, the clearance of trees, the removal of existing roadways, installation of new track and adjustments to fencing.
Key hazards on this project included the security of the site, the protection of live services, the protection of other contractors within the Homes and Communities Agency boundary, traffic management and unexploded ordnance. Hughes and Salvidge produced comprehensive method statements and risk assessments, supported by traffic management plans, in order to mitigate any potential hazards or risks.
This project was undertaken as a precursor to our larger project at Louisburg Barracks on the same site in Bordon.
We completed these works in November 2015 to the complete satisfaction of our client.
