M3 Motorway Bridge Demolition

Hughes and Salvidge worked to a strict time-frame to assist in the processing and removal of the concrete Woodlands Lane Bridge over the M3 motorway in November.

The bridge, near Windlesham, was demolished by explosion in the early hours of Saturday, 19th November and Hughes and Salvidge provided machines with necessary attachments and 4 operators to work shifts 24/7 through the weekend to ensure the motorway was opened on time ahead of the Monday morning rush-hour.

The demolition received widespread media attention and Hughes and Salvidge were proud to contribute to this successful project.
